The Q-1 visa is for participants in international exchange programs in the framework of cultural-historical relations between States.
An important condition for obtaining a visa Q-1 is an employment agreement between the applicant and the employer on the American side. The participants of the cultural exchange programs are exhibitions, lectures, seminars, representing tradition, culture and history of their country.
- have reached at least the age of 18
- have gained acceptance to an international cultural exchange program
- possess the education and training needed to perform the services that will be expected of you, including the cultural component, and
- be able to communicate your native culture to the people of the United States.
The length of time the program lasts, up to a maximum of 15 months, plus 30 days in which to depart the United States.
